Riga Black Balzam
Riga Black Balzam, a herbal bitter liqueur, is a Baltic legend. Made in Latvia, to a secret recipe, it is said that the Empress Catherine the Great of Russia, having fallen ill during a visit to Latvia, was cured after drinking this elixir.

Deliciously different and exceptionally smooth, Riga Black Balzam is made using 24 ingredients. Subtle hints of linden blossom, birch bud, valerian root, raspberry and ginger, combined with touches of nutmeg to produce a thick, strong drink with a slightly bitter-sweet taste. The drink is matured first in oak barrels, then in clay bottles before being transferred into distinctive custom-made 1,0 or 3,0 litre chocolate-brown bottles. Drink it straight up, on the rocks or mixed in a variety of cocktails.
