At the SPI Group we are very proud of what we have achieved. In the space of eight years we have taken a disparate group of formerly state-owned companies operating in Russia and the Baltic states and turned them into one of the world's leading drinks groups. Today we are the biggest exporter of Russian vodka in the world – and one of the most successful groups in our home country.

It all started in 1997 with the acquisition of a brand ownership company. After that we added manufacturing, production, retail and distribution partnerships and real estate. Companies that had suffered from years of under-investment and poor management were shaken up and turned into efficient and profitable enterprises.

We added serious levels of investment and introduced efficiency programmes. We combined modernisation with our determination to be a good employer and a responsible corporate citizen. We are proud of our Russian roots – but at the same time determined to bring western-style best-business practices to help develop this age-old industry.

Today we are in excellent shape. Our top brands are delivering high profitability and continue to make progress and our local brands hold leadership positions in their markets. We have a global partnership arrangement with Pernod Ricard of France for our Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya brands. All this has supported to reinforce our leadership position in the industry. 

The SPI Group plans to continue to grow by broadening our portfolio of spirits brands for both the home and international markets; we plane to acquire new high-quality wines and estates; we will expand our distribution in the Baltic area; we will work with international partners and continue to strive to be a group that is the best at what it does.
